"If anyone of you is justified by the law, you are fallen from grace!" Rom.3:20.
The brief excerpt I have shared here is to explain to every christian the need for understanding grace and what grace is. There is no need to wonder why lots of Christians are failures and suffer consistent defeat! It is evident they have turn their back on the very gospel - the gospel of grace which Christ Jesus delivered to us. And all they are trying to do is to achieve success with their ability, their strength, when Paul admonishes in the scripture that it is evident that "by the law shall no flesh be justified." By your works you can get nothing good from God, the father of all good things!
You need just two things to become successful as a christian, which is what Christ has already offer you. It is the Abundance of Grace and the Gift of Righteousness! For "If by one man's sin, dead reigned through that one, much more they that have RECEIVED the Abundance of Grace and of the Gift of Righteousness shall reign in life (as kings) through one, Christ!" Rom. 5:17.
Paul said, "I am the least of all the apostles...but I labor more than they all, yet not I but the "grace" of God that was bestowed upon me..." 2 Corinth. 15:9-10.
Grace does not make you sloppy! Grace makes you efficient! MORE efficient! The law makes you inefficient! "For by the law comes the knowledge of sin!" Rom. 3:20. But grace makes you "labor more efficiently, more abundantly, than all..." The law is a mirror that unveils all your lapses, all your weakness, all your shortcomings, all your pimples...but though is is holy and good, it could make no one righteous or good! Heb. 10:4. The law couldn't take away sin! It didn't cleanse any sin! No practice of the law could take away sin consciousness! In the law, something else always had to take your punishment; a goat, sheep, dove etc. but it was never taken away! But grace (Christ Jesus) fulfilled the law, everything you would have ever had to do to meet God's standard is what grace accomplished on the cross! If by one mans offence dead reigned by one, how much more by the obedience of one man will all be made righteous. Rom. 5:19.

Grace is the only sure guarantee that your life IS free from sin and CAN BE free from sin. Rom. 6:14 says "For sin shall not have dominion over you because you are not under the law but under GRACE."
