“Be the person that when your feet touch the floor in the
morning the devil says, “ Awe sh!t, they're up!”.
Defining
your life purpose defines every other thing about your life. Your
life purpose forms all of your life decisions: what you study in school, where
you chose to live, who you are going to marry, who you connect with and even
what you do with many of your vacations and weekends and daily life.
I
wrote a post days back titled Five Reasons Why Discovering Your
Purpose Is Critical. Though I never got any feedbacks or
comments, but I know it meant a lot to a lot of people. How? Because it meant a
lot to me too. I know just how much the few people who engage in finding
their purpose for living are sometime torn and confused about a lot of things,
most especially, when they just never seem to know what their purpose for
living is.
So
in helping someone like that get a better understanding of why finding your
purpose is so critical, I knew I made a lot of meaning.
You
see, from the onset of this beautiful blog, my singular goal has been to help
people make meaning out of their lives no matter how shattered they think it is
[for now].
Having
to live a meaningful life will cause a lot of "evil" in the world to
seize. I realized that when am busy doing something I love to do and busy
enjoying my life by doing what I was created by GOD to do, I find it hard and
almost impossible to compare myself to anyone thereby cutting out the need for
competition in my life. Am more prone to help other people become better people
by sharing with them without holding anything back, the things I have learnt in
life in my cause of searching for meaning to life.
But
as beautiful as all these would sound I still find that so many people find it
still very difficult to discover their purpose for living, as I will always
tell people, you can only tell what a new gadget can be used for by reading the
manufactures’ manual. And if someone created all what there is today, then He
must have had a reason for creating them all.
Like
the beautiful hymn that comes to my mind whenever I think of how beautiful GOD
made the world, perfectly describing why He gave us our sense organs like the
eye and mouth. It goes:
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things bright and wonderful
The Lord GOD made them all
...
He gave us eyes to see them
And lips that we might tell
How great is GOD Almighty
Who has made all things well.
Some reasons why most people never
find their purpose for life is what am going to be sharing below...
People Never Find Their When They Live From The Outside In,
Not The Inside Out:
Most
people who move from day to day in life in life doing things completely based
on what's happening outside than on what is happening inside of them. People want
to follow the latest trend, highest paying jobs etc. They let the outside
define their inside. These only results in a struggle due to a conflict in who
you are on the inside and who you think you should be. Living from
inside out means living with your guts, always daring and treading new grounds.
The little man lives his life from outside In, the great man lives his life
from Inside Out. Our transformation that pushes us closer and closer to our
purpose happens inside us, and when we do not pay attention to it, we miss out
on what we are taking on the identity of who they say we are, instead of who we
really are.
People Never Find Their When They Cannot Come To Terms With
Their Past, Their Weaknesses Their Insecurities Etc:
The
truth is, everyone on the face of the earth has something about them they never
want someone else to ever know about them. It could be any of the things I
listed earlier. Finding your purpose will mean you seeing into these things,
those past, and hurts, and heartbreaks and finding out why they happened to
you. The strength for the person you will be tomorrow comes from knowing
that nothing ever happened in your life by chance. All of it happened to
prepare you for today.
People Never Find Their When They Try To Find The Answer All
At Once:
Trying
to get it all figured out from the beginning to the end ALL AT ONCE will not
only distract you, but will impair your ability to focus on the minutest
details of what is happening on your inside and you begin to find meaning to
life.
People Never Find Their When They Are Unwilling To Leave Their
Comfort Zone:
Finding
your purpose for life will never happen in the bubble bath of comfort, it will
only happen in the process of pushing your boundaries and reaching to cover
more ground beyond the extent of your reach. You will find your purpose when
you dare to step out of anything that keeps you away from risk. Until you know
there is absolutely nothing to rest back on at the face of losing it all, you
will never find your purpose. GOD never made it easy for anyone to find their
purpose. He deliberately buried it away in the mines of life. You have to dig,
and dig and dig again and hope to find it.
People Never Find Their When They Make The Mistake Of
Looking For Short Cuts And Quick Fixes:
No
road worth travelling is without it own troubles and challenges. You can never
find your purpose trying to take short cuts and near solutions. I once told
someone, when we try to take short cuts we are only lengthening the journey
that will lead us to what GOD had prepared for us. No quick fixes can produce a
lasting solution. Allow that feeling of dissatisfaction and uncertainty; use
them as your candle light and motivation in your search. Don't try to carve
away from them, don't try to sleep them dead, and don’t try to ignore
them. Make good use of them and find the one thing that will make all the
meaning in your life.
People Never Find Their When They Tie Their Lives To One
Path Too Early:
There
are so many roads to success, but to have a good success, you must tread a
different path. In trying to find your purpose, don't tie your life to one path
too early. And if you are asking how early is too early, I will answer you. It
is too early when you realize that you can actually envision the end even
before you begin. Don't tie your life to a career path too soon. Don't tie your
life to a relationship too soon. Don't tie your life to an idea too soon. Don't
tie your life to one path too early. If you do that, you will miss what you
actually needed because you settled for what you wanted.
Always take out time for introspection. Ask yourself and those around you the
right questions. Think rationally. See beyond where you are presently. Only
then can you take a hold and don't let go. Never travel a road you are doomed
to regret.
People Never Find Their When They Make Up Their Mind Too
Soon:
My
best advice for anyone shooting for the stars will always be, "Never
settle for anything less." People tend to always prefer settle for
second place if their missed their mark and landed there. You know why? Because
they think, "Rather than loose it all the next time, why not settle
here!" That is never the mindset of a person wanting by all means to
be all he or she was created to be. You see, you don't need to exert yourself
to stay grounded under the influence of gravity, but you have to exert yourself
to apply the law of lift and floatation. If you are bent on finding your
purpose, never settle for, "I almost got it." Like they say,
"Never cannot kill a bird." Don't make up your mind too soon! Always
ask yourself, "Is that all there is?" And if you would let yourself
answer, you will realize that the answer will always be NO! Don't make up your
mind just too soon. No matter how good it seems, there is always something
better. And when you've found that one, you will know this is it. How? Because
then, you will be content and fulfilled.
